I want to talk with you about ethics. I’m not trying to preach to anyone but I AM trying to leave these legacy lessons for anyone who can use them, especially the young ones out there who are being victimized by those who promote a whorish ethical code.
I just took a course in Business Ethics on the Edovo App. Edovo is the educational app that we can access on the tablets. Ours is called Hope University and I want to extend my gratitude for all the people who worked to make this available to prisoners here in NC. I don’t know all of your names, but before he died, Dr. T. Anthony Spearman spoke about consulting with Brandeshawn Harris, Eddie Buffaloe and Todd Ishee about Hope University a year or so before we actually got it.
For me, it’s been transformative to fill in the gaps in my education, but to also confirm that all these years I’ve spent working with what was available prepared me to take full advantage of any opportunity to expand our empowerment through education.
You’ll hear me mention Dr. Spearman again in a later post. An amazing mentor for me that I wish I had more time to know, learn from, laugh and debate with. He exuded ethical excellence. His word was always, without exception, his bond with me.
I found the Business Ethics course to be the easiest for me and I aced it. Why? Because, I’m fundamentally fair.
